Galería's Youth Media Project is
a mentorship program serving at-risk youth which aims to strengthen
the relation between creative activity, social awareness,
and community building. Driven by technological advances and
mentorship, this experiential art education program engages
youth in the creation of art while examining our local community’s
social, cultural and political life. The goals of the YMP
are to engage participants in creative activities that explore
the significant links between their personal experiences and
the larger communities to which they belong. Students can
also receive training in building their portfolios for future
education.
