(Re)Generation: A Program for Emerging Chicano/Latino Artists(ages 18-35)

Mission Statement
(Adopted 1/29/00)
(Re)Generation(Regen) is an interdisciplinary program for emerging Latino/a artists and cultural workers between the ages 18-35.

Chicano/Latino artists from all genres (visual, performance, photography, creative writing, film, and music) are encouraged to join. The mission of (Re)Gen is to provide multiple forums for advancing intercultural dialogue.

In the past five years, (Re)Gen has hosted dozens of events for emerging Latino/a artists. Galería organizes one (Re)Gen group exhibition each year. (Re)Gen’s emerging artists are also incorporated into Galería’s general exhibition calendar, often exhibiting their work alongside established Latino/a artists.

Programs include:
•readings (prose, poetry, book releases)
•artist panels and discussion groups
•performance art, spoken word, musical and theatrical performances
•career development workshops
•activist street theater
