(Re)Generation: A
Program for Emerging Chicano/Latino Artists(ages 18-35)
Mission Statement
(Adopted 1/29/00)
(Re)Generation(Regen) is an interdisciplinary program for
emerging Latino/a artists and cultural workers between the
ages 18-35.
Chicano/Latino artists from all genres (visual,
performance, photography, creative writing, film, and music)
are encouraged to join. The mission of (Re)Gen is to provide
multiple forums for advancing intercultural dialogue.
Programs:
In the past five years, (Re)Gen has hosted dozens of events
for emerging Latino/a artists. Galería organizes one
(Re)Gen group exhibition each year. (Re)Gens emerging
artists are also incorporated into Galerías
general exhibition calendar, often exhibiting their work
alongside
established Latino/a artists.
Programs include:

readings (prose, poetry, book releases)
artist panels and discussion groups
performance art, spoken word, musical and theatrical
performances
career development workshops
activist street theater
