Title:"Tribute to César Chávez", 2005 Artist: Omid Rashidi Numerous murals throughout the Mission District honor the legacy and work of the late farmworker leader, César Chávez. Galería’s current billboard, designed by Omid Rashidi, continues this tradition and seeks to bring attention to Chávez’s principles. As the second Bush term confirms its culture of war, we would like to acknowledge the timeliness of Chavez’s words to draw inspiration and encouragement from his life devotion to non-violent social change.
