CURATORIAL INFORMATIONSTATEMENT   
(Press Release, July 8th, 1970)

Works by three members of the Venceremos Brigade will be exhibitied at the Galería de la Raza, 425 14th St in San Francisco, beginning July 26th. The gallery will be open from 4-8 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The show will continue until August 26th, gallery hours are: Tuesday through Sunday 12-6 p.m.

Two of the three exhibitors are photographers: Jay Ojeda and Roberto Perez-Diaz both have just returned from working in Cuba as Venceremos Brigade volunteers.

Jay Ojeda's photography is currenly on display in the "War Protest Exhibit" at the First Unitarian Church. The photographs in this exhibit were taken while Ojeda was working on a grant from the Eldridge Foundation to photograph in Cuba.

Roberto Perez-Diaz has exhibited in Arte del Barrio, an art show currently touring the barrios of Southern California. He has taught at Merritt College and California State College at Hayward.

The third exhibitor is artist, Gloria Osuna. The versatile Miss Osuna is also a potter and an actress, she worked with Luis Valdez's Teatro Campesino. For Galeria de la Raza, she will show the drawings which developed from her recent experiences as a Venceremos Brigade volunteer.

In addition to Ojeda, Perez-Diaz and Osuma, Cuban silk screener, Medero will also show his works.

The Galeria de la Raza is assisted by Casa Hispana de Bellas Artes and the Neighborhood Arts Program of the San Francisco Art Commission.
