Camilo Ontiveros holds a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He is Co-Founder of NOMART –a performance art space on wheels; a member of the DoEAT Collective; Co-Chair of UCSD’s 2006 senior art show; and Co-Founder of Lui Velazquez, the only space in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico that facilitates critical perspectives on contemporary cross-disciplinary issues, practices and events by inviting artists to participate in short-term residencies. Stories relating to Tijuana have included publications on Lui Velazquez in the Los Angeles and New York Times. Ontiveros has also participated in panel discussions at UC Santa Barbara, BIOLA University and in Tijuana. Ontiveros is currently at UCLA Visual Arts Program geting his Masters Degree.
