Michele Muennig
Michele Muennig is a graduate of Tulane University New Orleans, LA (MFA, 1991) and California College of Arts and Crafts Oakland (BFA, 1988). Her solo exhibitions have taken place at Levy Art and Architecture, SF; Margarite Oestreicher Fine Arts, New Orleans; Museum of Modern Art Rental Gallery, SF; Michael Himovitz Gallery, Sacramento, CA; 3250 Adeline Artspace, Berkeley; and Icons Gallery, New Orleans, among others. She has also participated in group exhibitions at Galeria de la Raza, SF; Tory Folliard Gallery, Chicago; Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica, CA; KALA Art Institute, Berkeley; Mission Cultural Center, SF; National Museum of Belarus, Russia; San Jose MOMA, San Jose; Richmond Art Center, CA; and the California Crafts Museum, San Francisco, among others. Her numerous awards include a KALA Fellowship, Berkeley, CA (1999), Monet Canvas Silver Medal Award, Amsterdam Art Exhibition and Competition, Berkeley (1998), Letraset/Letramax Award of Excellence, Amsterdam Art Exhibition and Competition, Berkeley, CA, (1998), and Full Tuition Scholarship and Teaching Stipend, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, (1989-1991). | |
