Ivan Navarro’s work explores the notion of power, using electricity as a metaphor of economic, political, and institutional power. With US support of the military dictatorship (1973-1990), Chile transformed itself into one of the most economically prosperous South American countries, and was therefore very attractive for foreign investments in energy and telecommunications, for instance.
