Seline Szkupinsky-Quiroga
Seline Szkupinski Quiroga is a medical anthropologist and cultural worker who critically examines the politics of gendered and racialized bodies. A child of immigrants, she was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and was the first in her immediate family to attend university. She was a founding member of the San Francisco-based ¡Viva la Vida! Collective, and co-produced a cable access TV show (1996 - 1998). Nurtured by Galería de la Raza’s ReGeneration Project, her work has been exhibited at the Oakland Museum, San Francisco’s Mexican Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and New York’s Museo del Barrio. Seline is currently a professor in the Department of Chicana/o Studies at Arizona State University. | |
