Isis Rodriguez

Isis Rodriguez received a BFA in painting at the University of Kansas in 1988. She became involved in public art via the Clarion Alley Mural Project and at Galería de la Raza beginning in 1993. A participant in the "Mission School" artistic movement, Isis established her reputation through cartoon figures called Guadalupe and Little Miss Attitudes. Her works have been exhibited at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Jose Museum of Art and the McPherson Center in Santa Cruz. In 2003, Isis completed a San Francisco Public Art Commission-sponsored cartoon mosaic at the newly opened playground at 23rd and Treat streets in the Mission.
