A graduate of the Malmö Art Institute, Sweden (MFA), Rocio Con Hong is an artist of Chinese descent born in 1978 in San José, Costa Rica. Her work explores the conflicting experience of identities displaced by immigration and by the norms of cultural homogenization.
Rocio Con Hong has exhibited extensively in Costa Rica as well as internationally in venues such as Contemporary Art and Design Museum. San José, Costa Rica; Galería de la Raza, San Francisco; and TEOR/éTICA Gallery, San José, Costa Rica.
She was awarded a fellowship from the Vermont Studio Art Center.
