Agua y Fuego

Presented by La Gente Productionz, Galeria de la Raza, MAPP, Artillery AG, and The Red Poppy Art House

Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 7:30 pm

"Agua Y Fuego," a new ongoing performance series that brings together different organizations and communities of the Mission to curate an evening of live local music and visual art exhibitions

This series represents a collaboration between Galeria de la Raza, La Gente Productionz, MAPP (Mission Arts Performance Project), and Artillery Gallery & Apparel

In the spirit of MAPP and street level curating, this mini-festival will take place in one night at Galeria de la Raza and Galeria's annex venue Studio 24 with two complete visual art exhibitions and musical groups for one admission. By bringing together local performers and arts organizations, the hope is to strengthen the Mission community, and make fine art and innovative local music accessible to la comunidad.

In Studio 24: music by Makru, visual exhibition "Patrón Y Cultura," works by Alexa Treviño & Ivan Lopez

In Galeria's main space: music by Justin Ancheta, visual exhibition "Traded Moons," new works by Geri Montano
